How to Care for Your Dental Implants
Dental implants look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Just like natural teeth, they require consistent care to remain healthy and strong. Here’s how to keep your dental implant and your smile in great shape:
- Brush twice a day. — Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste to gently clean around your implant crown and gumline. Electric toothbrushes are also a great option.
- Floss daily. — Flossing is essential to remove plaque between your implant and neighboring teeth. Ask us about implant-friendly floss or interdental brushes for hard-to-reach areas.
- Use an antibacterial mouth rinse. — A gentle, alcohol-free mouthwash can help reduce bacteria and keep your gums healthy around the dental implant.
