Relax. We’ve got this.

You want to be calm and comfortable during every visit, no matter what treatment you are receiving. If you’re even slightly nervous about seeing the dentist, let us put you at ease. Our sedation dentistry options allow you to feel safe, relaxed, and free of any discomfort throughout your entire visit.

Sedation dentistry is perfect for patients who suffer from:

  • Anxiety and nervousness

  • Sensitive gag reflex

  • Previous dental trauma

The American Dental Association estimates that 22% of Americans avoid dental visits due to fear and anxiety. Putting off dental visits increases the risk of tooth loss, severe dental infections, or even oral cancer.

Don’t let your oral health suffer because you can’t get the care you need. Come to Signature Smiles and see how our friendly team can turn a visit to the dentist into a stress-free experience.

We offer both oral and IV sedation so you get exactly the level of sedation that you need. Throughout the procedure, we’ll ensure you’re happy and pain-free. We never start a treatment unless you’re ready and comfortable, and we concentrate on maintaining the high standard of care you’ve come to trust.

Oral Sedation

By taking a prescribed medication prior to your procedure, you can calm your nerves and remain relaxed through your entire visit. This is a great option for patients who worry about giving up control. You’ll be fully awake and in control, even responding as normal. We care about your comfort, so let us show you what a truly worry-free dental visit is like!

IV Sedation

Dr. Cook works closely with Soba Anesthesia, a local dental anesthesiologist, to provide our patients with in-office IV sedation. Intravenous (IV) sedation refers to the administering of an anti-anxiety drug through the blood during your dental treatment. IV sedation dentistry is sometimes referred to as ‘twilight’ or ‘sleep’ dentistry. However, rather than putting you to sleep, the sedative helps you to relax and feel at peace. While you will be in a position to respond to the dentist’s questions, your treatment procedure will be vague once the sedative wears off. IV sedation is a great option for patients who may have extensive treatment to be completed and also has fewer side effects than oral sedation.
